About Me
About Me
Mallory Tiffany, LMHC (FL) LPC (MO)
Owner, Licensed Mental Health Counselor (FL) & Licensed Professional Counselor (MO)
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri. I provide telehealth therapy for individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, grief and loss, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the lasting impact of stressful or traumatic experiences.
My professional background spans private practice, community mental health, trauma-focused care, suicide prevention, victim advocacy, and military-focused services. Throughout my career, I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of clinical settings, including schools, community mental health programs, private practice, and trauma-focused organizations. I have experience supporting children and teens struggling with anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, emotional dysregulation, trauma, family stressors, self-esteem challenges, and adjustment difficulties. I strive to create a supportive and developmentally appropriate environment where younger clients feel safe, heard, and understood while also collaborating closely with parents and caregivers when appropriate.
I also have extensive experience working with military service members, veterans, and their families, as well as individuals impacted by intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and other forms of interpersonal trauma. Through my work in military mental health, victim advocacy, and trauma-focused services, I understand the profound ways trauma, chronic stress, and life transitions can affect emotional wellbeing, relationships, identity, and daily functioning. Whether clients are navigating the effects of military service, recovering from abuse or violence, adjusting to civilian life, or processing traumatic experiences, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where healing and growth can occur.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked extensively within the criminal justice system as a Victim Advocate supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and other traumatic crimes. That experience deeply shaped my trauma-informed approach and strengthened my ability to support clients through crisis, healing, and recovery with compassion and sensitivity.
My therapeutic style is collaborative, warm, and individualized. I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), tailoring treatment to each client’s unique goals and needs. I believe therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and I work alongside clients to build effective coping skills, improve emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, and foster meaningful, lasting growth
In addition to my clinical work, my professional experience has included crisis intervention, suicide risk assessment and safety planning, intake coordination, program development, and leadership within behavioral health and community service organizations. These experiences allow me to approach therapy with both clinical expertise and a deep understanding of the systems and challenges many clients navigate daily.
At Black Acre Counseling, LLC, I strive to provide a warm, welcoming, and affirming environment where clients feel supported throughout their healing journey. I believe therapy is a partnership, and I am committed to walking alongside my clients as they work toward healing, growth, resilience, and a more fulfilling life.
I currently offer secure HIPAA-compliant telehealth services for residents of Florida and Missouri and am accepting new clients. I can also provide documentation for out-of-network insurance reimbursement when applicable.
